Website Information

Town Website – The Foster Town Website has a whole new look.  Work to improve the content and function of the website has continued behind the scenes and as of January 9, a new and much improved version is up and running.  All of the information contained on the old website is still available including the Town Charter, Comprehensive Plan, and contact information for Town Personnel.  But on the new site, you’ll note drop down menus, updated minutes and agendas, links to all Town Departments as well as links to the Foster Police, Paine School, and Foster Libraries sites wrapped in a new easy to use format.  Two new and especially useful features include:

- Town Yellow Pages – Part of the Town’s Economic Development Initiative, these pages can be found under the “TOWN INITIATIVES” menu by clicking on the Economic Development page.  This item provides a listing of local businesses providing a variety of services.  Any Foster business can be listed, so if you own a business would like to be listed on these pages, please send your business name, address, and phone number by email to Randy Rossi or by U.S. mail to Foster Town Hall, Attention: Economic Development Initiative and we will gladly add your business to these pages.

- Community Calendar – This new feature can be found under the “HOME” menu item.  We expect to list all Town meetings as well as Community events on this calendar, so if your Community Organization, School, PTG, Fire station, Theater group or other Community organization has an event you wish to publicize, please send it in by email to Randy Rossi  and we will get it put up on the calendar.

It is necessary to have Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher to access all of the features of the new site so if you have any difficulties with the site the appropriate updates can be obtained online at www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx.
